The Brief

UBT requested a curriculum review of six programmes including Marketing, Management Information of Systems, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management and Human Resource Management. Their focus was providing students with a more interactive and effective learning experience, developing the skills required by local employers.

Our approach

The HEA’s approach was to:

  • Conduct a review of the current curriculum and assessment policies and procedures
  • Present the findings and recommendations to UBT staff face to face meetings with staff and visit to UBT. These included the development of new assessment tools and teaching methodologies
  • Run a follow-up workshop to assist UBT with the implementation of the HEA recommendations

Outcomes

  • A clear action plan for the development of new curricula designed to provide students with higher quality learning outcomes which, it is expected, will lead to higher satisfaction, better retention and improved employability skills and an increased international reputation;
  • Teaching staff inspired by latest teaching methodologies and assessment tools, which, it is anticipated will lead to more effective learning outcomes for students
