Staff participating in our Teaching Skills masterclasses benefit from:

  • More creative ideas and tangible skills for their teaching that are highly innovative and more stimulating for their students
  • Greater awareness of the effect their teaching has on the learning outcomes of their students
  • Confidence and motivation to stretch their boundaries and build on their existing expertise
  • Developing up to date skills in key aspects of learning and teaching for engaged student learning, underpinned by latest research and scholarship.

For maximum effectiveness, the HEA recommends that each group has a maximum of 20 participants. Each workshop is based upon small group active learning activities and can be adapted to suit particular discipline contexts if required.
